On that day we found a fainted bumblebee from our porch. We named it Nestori. Exhausted from the hot summer day, it barely had strenght to drink the honey-water mix we gave to it. Finally Nestori revealed it’s long snout and started to lick with it’s tiny red tongue. This heat, that treated Nestori so harshly, has crawled deep into my own body as well. It is a painful reminder of our soon irrevocably changed biosphere. Thinking of Nestori, I am dreaming of a different kind of future, of interspecies connections that might save us.
